Back in the States.

Last beach day of the season

Nothing like this beach

Our catch on the way home "Skipjack Tuna"

A visit with Great Aunt Virginia (She has forty years on me) I can only hope I look that good at her age.

We had a great time in the Bahama's but it was time to head back to the states and take care of a few things.
We really wanted to do some exploring in Florida and visiting of friends and family too.
Our crossing went well and we even managed to cast the line out a few times. Jon caught a Skipjack Tuna which was dark fleshed but ended up being delicious.

Yesterday we took a ride down to Boca Raton to visit with Jon's Great Aunt Virginia, she is such a wonderful person to talk with and the stories she tells of the Pacific Islands and all her worldly travel are amazing.

We will sit here for a bit before moving the boat to Indiantown where she will be stored till next season.

Bird Island trip and some history

We took a trip to Bird Island to look at the potential of owning some property but it was just a little more than we could afford.

This was a beautiful island but the place had been left for a few years and the houses have been ransacked,
the peacocks have taken over and the hurricanes have left their number too..

We ended up there a little longer than we had

Buildings on south end of island
planned so low tide started to come in and before we could make our exit the sand was under us and the day there ended up into the late evening. It was a very exciting trip even though it was a long one.

Thanks to Jeff and Lana not only this trip but many other adventures and fun times will be remembered forever.

A visit from Jeremy and Amy

A morning walk and a little golf
The means of travel for the week

Very windy day

Wow, how fast the week has gone by with Jeremy and Amy.

We stayed busy all week with dinghy trips to the beaches, burgers at the beach bar we love so much, a few trips to Shark's creek, heading to the grocery store on the day the mail boat comes in then exploring every road on the island.

Having dinner with our friends Jeff and Lana at their house,

having snacks at Rick and Charlene's beautiful boat in the marina, hunting for Lobster or anything that swam in front of Jeremy that looked good to eat,

Not sure what he is doing. You can add your own caption......
